Is Abortion really “Healthcare?”

Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM

1 in 3 UK women will have an abortion in their lifetime. It’s an issue that impacts so many – yet discussion about this sensitive topic is frequently shut down.

Is it a “settled” topic? Why are some folks cancelled if they question the “right” to an abortion? If a man doesn’t support abortion, he is often told he is not allowed to have an opinion because he can’t give birth (and if a “transman” IS a man, does that mean he can’t have an opinion about abortion, even if he can get pregnant?)

For our August meetup, we will be welcoming guest speaker, Lois McLatchie Miller. Lois is a UK commentator and pro-life advocate. She is a communications officer for ADF UK, a charity committed to fundamental freedoms, and regularly features on the BBC, GB News and elsewhere, as well as writing in the Times, the Wall Street Journal, Fox, Spiked, and more.

Lois will give a talk, then a question and open discussion session will commence afterwards. ALL good faith opinions will be respected at this meetup. Bring your agreements, bring your disagreements. Be challenged on your views! Walk out afterwards being reassured that you were right…or perhaps, wrong.

Join CCC Manchester for stimulating and fresh conversation and debate! We’re a friendly, welcoming bunch, and many folks even choose to stay well past 4pm to continue the discussion! Grab a drink at the bar and come upstairs for some lively, open and honest chat. All good faith opinions will be welcomed and respected. We don’t charge for our events but we do ask for a small cash donation on arrival to help pay for the room and Meetup membership.
